My Bachelors final project at Bezalel Academy. A short documentary film (10:23) showing A Greco-Roman Wrestling Club in the city of Lod, Israel. The Wrestlers are children (3-14 yr) and are a 2nd generation to former USSR Israeli citizens. The experience of watching the trainees offers the viewer a glimpse into the margins of Israeli society and in parallel with the classical art that is part of the ancient sport. The film seeks to present the tension between the everyday reality of the trainees and the sublimity of the body, the space and the wrestling image.
